Investment Management

Investment Overview

Core takes a top-down macro view with global orientation for all investment decisions. Each account is separately managed but all hold securities common to Core's macro view.

Core seeks to identify the very long-range global developments and invest in assets that stand to appreciate as these global trends unfold. Our memorandum "Principles and Practices in Core's Portfolio Management" discusses this more fully. We form a long-term view of the world and seek to express that view through Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and certain institutional mutual funds. We adjust our client portfolios to shorter-term influences of economic, political, and financial cycles, while maintaining the investments chosen to capture the long-term developments. Our periodic letters to our clients explain this interplay of long-term investments consistent with secular trends and the shorter-terms tactical adjustments
